PSNI officers are said to be at 'breaking point' after claims dissident republicans have access to their personal details.
The information was mistakenly disclosed in a freedom of information request this week.
A full scale investigation is underway into the data breach, with the Chief Constable admitting some police officers and staff may have to be moved for their protection.
PSNI members have been speaking to the media anonymously, saying they're afraid for the safety of themselves and their families.
Police Service of Northern Ireland chief constable Simon Byrne has said:
“I am deeply sorry about what has happened when we have seen an industrial scale breach of data that has gone into the public domain."
