The mayor in Japan was forced to apologise.
A mayor in Japan has been forced to apologise after issuing a leaflet which gave pregnant women advice on how not to annoy their husbands after giving birth.
The leaflet was posted on social media and contained a section on 'Advice from fathers to you'.
Inews reports the advice came from a poll of new fathers in the city of Onomichi.
The responses included 'feeling annoyed when their wives couldn't do housekeeping work' because they were too busy taking care of their newborn or when they became irritated for no reason.
The mayor of Onomichi, Yuko Hiratani, was forced to publish an apology to quell the public outcry and retracted the flyer.
