The PSNI is continuing its investigation into the killing which happened in Derry last week.
Police in Northern Ireland have released footage of the gunman who they believe murdered 29-year-old journalist Lyra McKee.
They say the man suspected of killing her is short, stocky and was wearing dark clothes on the night of the riots.
Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy said: “I want to find the people who murdered Lyra and I believe the information that can help us bring those responsible to justice lies within the local community. Approximately 100 people were on the ground on the night Lyra was murdered – people saw the gunman and his associates. I think people within the community know who they are. I’m asking them to come forward and help us.
Lyra was laid to rest on Wednesday and at her funeral, the presiding priest Fr. Martin Magill, called on political parties in Northern Ireland to work together to restore powersharing at Stormont.
It has been more than two years since the powersharing agreement between the DUP and Sinn Féin collapsed.
