Ten people have been arrested on suspicion of murder, including a 13-year-old boy.
A police officer who was murdered while responding to a reported burglary in Berkshire, in the UK, was a newlywed due to go on his honeymoon it has emerged.
PC Andrew Harper, was married just one month ago in a ceremony at Ardington House in Oxfordshire.
The 28-year-old, who joined the force in 2010, was killed late on Thursday evening after attending the scene of a reported burglary near the village of Sulhamstead.
His cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but police say he was at some point dragged along the ground by a vehicle.
Ten people have been arrested on suspicion of murder, all are male and aged between 13 and 30. They remain in police custody.
"So proud".
PC Harper's grandmother, Maureen Shrimpton, said on Friday she was "so proud" of her grandson.
Writing on Facebook, she said: "Just a really horrible day. Our grandson Andrew was killed last night while doing his police work.
"So proud of him. Our love goes to his lovely wife, Mum and Dad, brother and all of his family and friends. Love from Nan and Bubba xxx."
