An online survey will be launched tomorrow, giving the public a chance to help design the new Irish passport.
It's the first re-design of the document in over a decade.
They'll come into circulation in late 2025, and will also have added security features.
The proposed new images for the inner pages focus on flora and fauna.
Willie White, Artistic Director of the Dublin Theatre Festival is a fan of the idea:
"I think it'd also be good to draw attention to our flora and fauna because they're in crisis at the moment with everything that's going on with the planet."
"So absolutely, I mean we have beautiful orchids, the Burren, it's a bit late for Fungi but maybe we could have another dolphin. There're foxes, I mean we see them all over the city, or the hares from Dublin Airport."
