Half of people are targeted with spam calls or texts every month.
That's according to a new survey carried out by the Compliance Institute.
It also found one in four are in receipt of spam calls or messages on a daily basis.
Just one in five respondents are absolutely certain their data has never been hacked.
The group most affected by spam texts were those aged between 18 and 34.
