A teenager accused of the murder of a woman in Offaly has been remanded in detention for another two weeks.
Lorna Woodnutt was killed at a location in the county last Friday.
The brutal attack is alleged to have happened in Rahan, Co. Offaly – a rural area about 10km west of Tullamore.
The accused appeared before Tullamore District Court via video link from Oberstown Detention Centre.
Gardaí applied for consent for change to the charge sheet in the spelling of a surname which was granted by Judge Andrew Cody.
The Judge then remanded the teenager in detention at Oberstown to appear again via video link on October 18th.
The court also heard that reporting restrictions applied in the case.
Graphic footage from the scene was posted on social media – with the public urged to not share and a local school urging students and parents to be vigilant.
The Judge advised anyone connected to sharing a video connected to the incident may face three years in prison or a fine of €12 thousand.
He advised anyone with the video to delete it.
