A new poll has found people want the Government to push ahead with the rural broadband rollout - despite its massive cost.
The project, proposed to bring high speed broadband to rural corners of Ireland, was first announced in 2012 and was at first estimated to cost in the region of €500 million.
Since then and amid much controversy and many setbacks, the proposed cost of the rollout has risen to €3 billion.
A Red C poll for today's Sunday Business Post asked people how they felt about the project.
It found strong support for the Government to get on with implementing the National Broadband Plan.
