National Economic Dialogue takes place today.

The key opportunities and challenges facing the country ahead of the Budget will be discussed today.

The discussions with unions,community, voluntary, environmental and business groups, will focus on some of the key opportunities and challenges facing the country ahead of the Budget.

Among the groups attending is Social Justice Ireland.

Its CEO, Fr. Sean Healy, wants to see the distribution of general expenditure and windfalls taxes made separate.

'The windfall taxes be accounted for separately with the one off infrastructure and then the normal budget being presented the normal way, ensuring that it is covered by the current tax take and the two can be brought together to provide the overall budget picture.'
