A murder investigation's continuing this morning, after a woman's body was found in County Louth.
She was discovered dead in Dundalk after being attacked on Wednesday.
A post mortem examination has been completed on the body of the woman in her 60s, but the results aren't being released for operational reasons.
She died in an assault at a home on Bridge Street on Wednesday evening.
The scene remained sealed off overnight for a technical examination.
Gardai in Dundalk have started a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They're particularly keen to speak to those who were in the Bridge Street area on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
