His case will be heard today.
Dublin District Court has heard Conor McGregor intends to plead guilty to assaulting a man in Dublin last April.
The UFC fighter was before the court a few weeks ago after being served with a summons to an alleged assault on a man at the Marble Arch pub in Drimnagh on Apr 6th.
His case was adjourned that day to facilitate the disclosure of certain material to his legal team, including CCTV footage, and when it returned to court today, his solicitor told the judge he intends to plead guilty.
The 31-year-old sat in the dock as his case was discussed. The State solicitor told Judge Treasa Kelly that the victim accepted his apology and doesn’t want to make a Victim Impact Statement.
Video footage from the pub will be shown to the court when it’s recalled later this afternoon.
The maximum penalty on conviction for this offence is a fine and/or six months in prison.
