An investigation is continuing in Limerick city after the killing of a young woman on Tuesday afternoon.
A formal murder investigation in now underway into the killing of a young woman in Limerick city.
The body of the woman, who was aged in her 20's and originally from Romania, was found at an apartment at the Riverdock House complex on the Dock Road at lunchtime on Tuesday.
A post mortem found she suffered a violent death but the results aren't being released for operational reasons.
Fr. Seamus Enright is rector of the Redemptorists - who are located just a couple of streets away from where the killing took place.
He says people are feeling bewildered , saddened and scared:
'You do have that sense of maybe life being cheapened and it does of course, remind us of how precious life is and how we should be doing everything we can to protect and defend life and of course to create communities as well where people can feel safe and secure without this kind of thing happening.'
