Image via WikipediaThe Independent report Ronan Keating’s older brother Ciaran, has died after a car accident near Swinford, Co Mayo yesterday afternoon.
It's understood he was from Louisburgh, and travelling with his wife, Ann Marie, to watch their son, Ruairi, play for Cork City in an evening premier league clash with Sligo Rovers.
He suffered fatal injuries in the two-vehicle collision on the N5 at Ballymiles.
The Independent also report, his wife Ann Marie, a secondary teacher, was taken to Mayo University Hospital for treatment for injuries which are understood to be non-life threatening.
The driver of the second car, a man, was taken to Mayo University Hospital where he’s being treated for serious injuries.
Also hospitalised was a male passenger in the second vehicle.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
