Gardaí are appealing for witnesses
A man in his 20's has been kileld in a road traffic collision in Cavan.
Gardaí attended the scene of a collision that occurred shortly before 3am this morning.
The accident, between a truck and a car, occurred on the N3 at Drumcrauve in Co.Cavan.
A male passenger, aged in his 20's, was fatally injured.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged in her 20's, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The roads remains closed at this time and traffic diversions are in place.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
