A woman in her 20's was murdered at an apartment in Limerick city at lunchtime on Tuesday sparking a Garda manhunt.
The body of the woman who was aged in her 20's was found at an apartment on the Dock Road at half 1 on Tuesday afternoon.
She'd suffered a violent death
Gardai say they are liaising with their PSNI colleagues after the arrest of a man in connection with a murder inquiry.
A development in the case came last night when detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime branch arrested the 26-year-old man yesterday.
He's being held for questioning in Belfast.
Meanwhile the Garda Technical Bureau is still examining two crime scenes in Limerick.
Gardaí are also continuing to appeal to anyone with information to come forward and say they remain in close contact with their PSNI colleagues in connection with the investigation.
