A man in his 60s has died after he was injured by an animal on a farm in Longford.
The incident happened at around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon at Rathmore, Aughnacliffe.
The Health Safety Authority has been notified and are investigating.
The tragic death brings the number of farm fatalities on Irish farms to date this year to ten.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, on Tuesday, May 21, a man was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries following an incident on a farm near Bailieboro, Co Cavan.
