Aer Lingus cancel all flights from Dublin to Europe from 2pm onwards

Aer Lingus reservation systems are down, causing long queues for check-in at Dublin Airport.

The airline have cancelled all flights from Dublin airport to Europe and UK destinations have been cancelled.

In a statement Aer Lingus said:

"As we are currently unable to communicate directly with customers, we are asking customers booked to travel on those flights not to come to Dublin Airport."

The carrier's website is also inaccessible at the moment, with a temporary image saying it's undergoing a 'scheduled upgrade.'

The company says a technical problem with its Cloud-based reservation and operational systems is impacting check-in and boarding,

It's expecting delays and disruption to services, for several hours.

The company is apologising to passengers for the inconvenience and says its working to solve its connection issues as soon as possible.

The airport's operator, DAA, which has been staggering entry to the terminal to manage the numbers inside, said it's an internal IT issue for Aer Lingus and that no other airline is experiencing these technical difficulties.
