A man in his late 20s is in custody.
A full Garda investigation is underway after the body of an 11 year-old boy was discovered in a house in Limerick.
The discovery was made in the Ballynanty area of the city shortly after seven o'clock yesterday evening.
A man in his late 20s has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination, and a post mortem examination is due to take place later.
