Leaving and Junior Cert students are being advised to look over past exam papers ahead of the start of exams tomorrow.
English paper one and Home Economics are first up for the Leaving Cert, while third years will sit English and Religion
It's the first time this year's sixth years are facing a formal State exam, as their Junior Cert was cancelled during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Guidance Counsellor, Betty McLoughlin, says simple preparations can help students feel more calm on the day:
"Familiarise yourself with the exam paper; how many questions do I have to answer? How much time for each question? That kind of thing."
"Ensure you have all your necessary equipment, your maths set, your pens. Have all that ready to avoid any stress."
