Hundreds of kilos of suspected crystal meth have been seized at the Port of Cork.
Two men have been arrested after follow-up searches were carried out in Cork and Kerry.
If the drugs are confirmed as crystal meth it will be, by far, the biggest-ever seizure of the highly addictive drug in Ireland.
At this stage, it’s not known if the drugs were manufactured here and where to be transported to another country.
Follow-up searches were carried out in counties Cork and Kerry and two men – both aged in their 40s – were arrested.
They are currently being detained at Garda Stations in the Southern Region.
