What a night for her family and friends.
Kellie Harrington became a part of Olympic history this morning as she won gold in the women's lightweight boxing final.
She overcame Beatriz Ferreira of Brazil, who was the tournament favourite, by unanimous decision.
The 31 year old has become the first Irish boxer to win gold since Katie Taylor in 2012.
Residents in Portland Row in Dublin's north inner city, where Kellie is from, were out in their droves this morning.

It was a magical end to the Olympics for Team Ireland.
Kellie joins rowers Fintan McCarthy and Paul O'Donovan in taking home gold at Tokyo 2020.
But a video has surfaced on social media where Harrington is shown the celebrations at home.
"I didn’t even think anyone would be up watching", she says, as emotions get the better of her.
What a win for Kellie and for Ireland, a morning we won't forget any time soon.
