The undisputed lightweight world champion returned to Ireland today.
Katie Taylor has brushed aside criticisms of her Madison Square Garden victory over the weekend.
Her Belgian opponent Delfine Persoon has lodged an official complaint over the points decision that saw Taylor become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world.
Reaction to the contest has been mixed, with many saying Taylor was lucky to secure victory.
However when she returned to Dublin Airport this morning, the Bray native said she strongly felt she won.
"That's what happens in close fights...a few people had it her way, a few people had it my way, that's what makes a brilliant fight. It was a genuine 50/50 fight going into it, and I look forward to the rematch in the future."

Since her huge achievement there have been suggestions that she should be honoured with a statue in her hometown, however in typical humble fashion, Katie wasn't bigging up the idea:
"You're only supposed to get a statue when you're dead, isn't that right?!
"I'm not sure how I feel about that but the support that I've received from the whole country has been absolutely phenomenal over the last week and I'm so grateful for that."
