68,000 Junior Cycle students were due to get their results five weeks ago
Junior Cert students may not receive their results until November.
68,000 students were due to get their results five weeks ago, in mid-September.
However, The Irish Daily Mail reports that the marking of the exams is still not complete.
The State Examinations Commission said the delay was due to the exceptional Leaving Cert arrangements this year, including a second sitting in July.
They said there was a need to prioritise appeals from the July exams before finalising the Junior Cycle results.
It's expected that Education Minister Norma Foley will announce this week when students might receive their results.
