After 14 years, The Jeremy Kyle show is no more.

ITV has officially confirmed that production of the Jeremy Kyle show has ceased.

The show was indefinitely taken off the air earlier this week after the death of Steve Dymond, a guest on the show, following an appearance in which he failed a lie detector test.

The episode in which he appeared was scheduled to show on Monday, but was pulled at the last minute.

In a statement, ITV CEO Carolyn McCall, said: "Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

"The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

"Everyone at ITV's thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond."
