The report, which hasn't been independently verified, claims the head of weapons and industries with Hamas was killed in an Israeli Defences Forces airstrike.
Israel says its forces have pushed deep into Gaza City, while a medical convoy came under fire in the city, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
IDF spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner says they're continuing their operations to dismantle Hamas.
'We have encircled Gaza city we are conducting small operations in and around that area, increasing the pressure on Hamas. We have some fierce close urban warfare that is ongoing against the terrorists they're coming out of tunnels that are operating from school grounds top hospital grounds and I would say for the most part we are engaging and winning.'
