Irish food delivery riders are expected to strike this evening.
A protest is being held on O'Connell Street in Dublin from 5pm as part of an international campaign by workers for better pay.
Riders in other areas, including Cork and Galway, are also expected to join the action that will last for five hours.
Fiachra Ó Luain from the English Language Students’ Union of Ireland says it's a dangerous job with drivers getting as little as 1 euro per delivery.
Fiachra explained "the algorithms are incentivising risk. And during the Dublin riots riders were actually being asked to go right into Parnell Street. And the prices went way up to about 20 euros to deliver some food. So, I mean, it's really, really dangerous. It's a blood sport at this stage."
