60% of young people have experienced more anxiety and loneliness.
The poll was carried out by the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI), according to the Irish Independent.
It showed that those aged between 18 and 24 had the highest levels of negative feelings.
6 in 10 in this age group said they were now more lonely.
While 59% said they felt greater uncertainty about their future.
A quarter of participants felt the pandemic had put strain on their financial well-being.
That's despite young people being largely affected by unemployment over the past 16 months.
The poll also found that there is support for a taskforce to be set up on youth unemployment, with a lot of over 55s in support of the idea.
Marie-Claire McAleer, head of research and policy at the NYCI, said that investment is needed to address these issues.
"Mitigating the impact of Covid on young people's lives requires significant investment to provide quality education, training and employment opportunities," she said.
McAleer added that greater investment was also needed to restore the "full rate of Jobseeker's Allowance to those under 25".
