Workers are due to return to offices from tomorrow.
This week, a major easing of restrictions began - hospitality opening hours, capacity on events and return to the office.
Workers are due to begin a gradual return to the office from tomorrow.
However, workers unions are calling for remote working to continue here.
Forsa and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions are among those calling for businesses to continue to facilitate remote working.
Head of Communications with Forsa, Bernard Harbour, says employers should not ignore the benefits of hybrid working.
Harbour says that most surveys among employers and unions show the positive side of remote working.
"Productivity has either sustained or gone up. There are also plenty of benefits for employees as well in terms of being able to manage their time more productively, see more of their family and spend less time commuting," Harbour says.
"We feel there are benefits all round, and that's accepted by employers as well as employees."
