It did feel a bit warm for September...

Alas, summer appears to be well and truly over now.

Temperatures are set to drop in the coming days after an unseasonably warm September, so far.

From tonight it will be cooler and feel more autumnal.

Recently temperatures have been between 15-20 degrees, give or take.

But after today (Sunday) it seems they're falling to between 11-15 degrees.

Here's the outlook for the coming days...

Today (Sunday)

A mixture of sunny spells and scattered outbreaks of rain this morning.

Rain in the west and southwest will gradually move eastwards through the day, with some heavy or thundery downpours and the risk of spot flooding.

Holding dry in some eastern areas until late afternoon.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Tomorrow (Monday)

A much cooler and fresher day tomorrow with a mix of sunny spells and heavy showers, with the risk of thunderstorms.

Highest temperatures falling back to around normal for the time of year at 12 to 15 degrees.

Tuesday

A pretty wet day overall with spells of rain, heavy at times especially in southern and later eastern parts.

There's the risk of thundery downpours in parts too.

Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.

Wednesday

A drier day with sunny spells and a few scattered showers, mainly affecting northern parts.

Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

So there you have it... time for the jumpers, woolly socks and pjs!
