A quick look of next week's forecast the phrase "25 degrees" caught our eyes.

And after a rough enough August so far it would be nice to end on a high... temperature-wise!

The week will start with the usual sunny spells and scattered showers.

But, by Wednesday, there's no mention of rain in the forecast!

Instead, temperatures could be as high as 25 degrees.

Here's the full forecast from Met Éireann, so you can start planning your week:

Monday:

Any mist and fog will quickly clear on Monday morning.

It'll be a warm day with good spells of sunshine and just well scattered light passing showers developing into the afternoon.

Top temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.

Tuesday:

Mist and fog will quickly clear on Tuesday morning leaving a largely dry day with warm spells of sunshine.

Some light showers will develop in the afternoon.

Highest temperatures of 21 to 24 degrees.

Wednesday:

Wednesday will be warm and dry with long spells of sunshine.

Temperatures will reach 21 to 25 degrees.

Thursday:

Dry and mostly sunny with highest temperatures generally of 21 to 25 degrees.

Cloudier though in the east and northeast, keeping highs around 18 to 20 degrees.

Friday:

Another mostly dry and sunny day although the odd shower may develop in the afternoon.

Maximum temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees.
