A meeting is taking place tomorrow on the issue...

A junior minister has said that vaccinated under-18s will be allowed inside pubs and restaurants when indoor hospitality resumes.

However, they'll have to be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

A cabinet meeting's taking place tomorrow to sign off on the new legislation, according to Minister of State Niall Collins.

He says families will be allowed eat indoors during the holiday season with the reopening date likely to be July 26th.

Government is set to discuss plans to only allow those who're vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 to be allowed indoors.

But there are mixed opinion on the plans to fast-track emergency legislation to reopen indoor dining.

It would mean you'd need a covid cert to access indoor dining, and some restaurant and pub owners believe this is unworkable.

More than 1.8 million Covid certs look set to be issued to those who’ve been vaccinated.

They’ll also be given to those who have recently recovered from the virus.
