A result of a ballot on whether to reopen Tara Mines is due later this morning.
A count is being held from 10am today.
It will discover if members of the Tara Mines Group of Unions' are in favour of the proposals.
This comes after talks with management were held at the WRC to allow for a swift reopening of the mine in County Meath.
SIPTU Sector Organiser, John Regan says it'll give staff a chance to get back to their jobs:
"It's not because its a great deal, but its a deal that gives workers the opportunity to return to work.
"We just have to let them decide is this the right deal for them to return on."
