The new result mean that FG and FF combined have just 4 percentage points more than Sinn Féin alone.
There's been mixed reactions to the opinion poll.
Some comments online have expressed delight at the new result, while others describe it as unsurprising.
"Absolutely thrilled" - one person commented.
"Hardly surprising given just how bad the current government is. This isn't a vote strictly for SF, but rather *the others screwed up so we may as well give SF their chance."
While others have mentioned Sinn Féin still don't have enough to form a Government themselves.
"Good result for SF but in reality they need to match FFFG& LAB for there to be any change of government. These guys will do everything possible to maintain the status qua (quo)."
