Crowds gathered in Dublin today to bid a final farewell to Brendan Grace.
Mourners at Brendan Grace's funeral have heard that his only vocation in life was to make people happy.
Hundreds of people lined the streets outside St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Dublin's Liberties for the comedian and singer's funeral mass.
He passed away last week after having lung cancer.
As the funeral cortège arrived on Francis Street, the fans who had gathered broke into a rendition of Dublin in the Rare Aul Times, which Brendan had often performed on stage.
Then during the service, the crowds joined in with Red Hurley as he performed How Great Thou Art.

Brendan was remembered by all of his children, including Melanie, who became emotional as she said he had had an impact on many lives.
"The lives you've touched have been forever changed by your presence in them and my life will never be the same again without your physical presence."
Celebrant Fr. Brian Darcy told mourners that Brendan had only one job in his life:
"All his vocation in life was quite simply, nothing more, nothing less, than to lift the gloom of the nation."
Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin attended, while the President and Taoiseach were represented, and from the world of showbiz were Brendan O’Carroll and his wife Jennifer Gibney, Twink, Dickie Rock, Mike Denver and June Rodgers.
A private cremation took place after the funeral mass.
