But nowhere near the norm.
It's the busiest weekend at Dublin Airport since the start of the pandemic.
Around 137,000 passengers will pass through the gates of the country's biggest airport between today and Monday.
However that's down around 70 percent compared to the same weekend in 2019.
We haven't issued bank hol figures since 2019 so it's time get back into the swing of it again despite low numbers travelling. This August BH @DublinAirport will welcome 137,300 passengers, down 70% when compared to Aug 2019 when we welcomed 454,300 passengers. #DUBWelcomeBack pic.twitter.com/o1vockZ4QF

2 weeks ago Ireland joined the rest of the EU in implementing the Digital Covid Certificate.
It allows people to travel anywhere in the EU provided they are fully vaccinated, have fully recovered from COVID or undergo a negative COVID test.
As we continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, new advice and rules for international travel, will come into effect in Ireland on 19 July ✈️ https://t.co/XQPHmtIeDc pic.twitter.com/ozODmaCrRT
