A man in his 50s has been arrested.
A man in his 50s has been arrested in Youghal in East Cork following the discovery of human remains at a house in the town.
The remains were found during the investigation into the murder of Tina Satchwell. Skeletal remains were found at the house in the centre of Youghal town this morning by Gardaí investigating the murder of Tina, who was reported missing on the 24th of March 2017.
DNA samples have been taken and Gardaí are seeking to identify the bones by cross referencing the sample against their database.
Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster visited the scene this morning as did a Forensic Anthropologist.
A man arrested in connection with the investigation on Tuesday evening was released without charge yesterday evening. It’s not yet known where exactly the remains were discovered.
A man in his 50's was arrested in the town this morning in connection with the investigation and is being held at a Garda Station in the county.
