A man in his 50's and a woman in her 80's have died following a house fire in Co. Cavan.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the blaze where the man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
The blaze broke out at a house in Ballyjamesduff shortly before 2am.
A garda spokesperson said that their bodies have been removed to the mortuary at Cavan General Hospital where a post-mortem is due to take place.
