Fáilte Ireland has published guidelines for the hospitality sector when it reopens.
Justice Minister Heather Humphreys says she hopes the rules on dining in pubs and restaurants can be relaxed further when the COVID situation improves.
Under new Fáilte Ireland guidelines, a maximum of six people aged over 13 will be allowed at a table.
All customers will have to leave by 11:30pm and there will be a time limit of 105 minutes indoors if tables are less than 2 metres apart.
Minister Heather Humphreys has said she hopes people stick to the guidelines when pubs and restaurants start to re-open next month:
"We have to be careful too because this COVID takes many twists and turns, so what we have is in place is there, in terms of the regulations.
"As things improve we'll certainly review them all the time and hopefully we'll be in a position to relax them further."

The Restaurants' Association of Ireland has welcomed the allowance being made for children in the guidelines.
However the Association's CEO Adrian Cummins has also called for plans to be made for a vaccine bonus:
"We're very clear on this, [if] we get to a certain percentage of the population that is vaccinated, we need to see a delivery of the vaccine bonus.
"That means going back to normality for all sectors, not just hospitality, but right across the board."
