(Source: Gardaí and Customs have seized more than €8,000,000 worth of heroin at Weston Airport in Co. Dublin.
A light aircraft and a vehicle were searched and intercepted earlier today in South Dublin and Co.Kildare.
Up to 60kg of vacuum-packed heroin, with a street value of 8 million euro was found.
Two men, aged in their forties and sixties have been arrested and are being detained under drugs trafficking legislation.
They can be questioned for up to seven days.
The light aircraft has also been seized and Gardaí are now tracing its flight path.
It is the largest seizure of the drug in Ireland this year.
