Here are the locations of vigils taking place for the Creeslough tragedy

There’s been a huge outpouring of grief following the tragedy in Creeslough on Friday afternoon.

Vigils have been organised in memory of the victims around the northwest.

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but we’ll keep it up to date as we hear about vigils being organised.

Letterkenny Rugby club

In memory of Leona, Letterkenny Rugby Club will open its clubhouse to allow people to come and pay their respects and reflect on the events that have affected our community and so many families in such a tragic way. The doors will be open between 5 and 7 on Sunday where a book of condolences for the Harper family will be there to sign.

St Eunans Letterkenny

The Club will hold a vigil tomorrow evening at 6.30pm in the Main Stand to show our support for our friends in Creeslough and St Michael’s GAA club.

Downings

The Downings Community are Having a Prayer Service on Sunday evening At 6pm at GAA Centre in memory of all who lost their lives in the terrible events in Creeslough.

Please bring a candle if possible.

Thank You All

Killybegs

Killybegs GAA, in solidarity with the people of Creeslough and surrounding areas, invite you all to attend a 10 minute vigil of prayer at St Mary Church, Killybegs, Monday 10th Oct 22 at 7.00pm.

We will gather to pray for those who have lost their lives, their families and all who have been affected. Everyone is welcome. Thank you.

Donegal Town

A vigil will take place this Sunday afternoon at 3.15pm on The Diamond.

Ballybofey 

Ballybofey candle lit vigil will be held in the Carpark beside McElhinneys at 7pm on Monday.

Milford 

There will be a vigil on Sunday at 4pm at the top of of Milford town. We want to provide a focus for the community, an outlet for our grief, and to stand in solidarity with the community of Creeslough as we come to terms with this devastating tragedy.

We will stand together to remember all those whose lives have tragically been cut short, those currently being treated in hospital, and to all who have been affected by this unimaginable incident. Creeslough is in all of our hearts.

Representatives from the churches in Milford will also be in attendance at the vigil offering support.

As a community we once again thank the emergency services who worked day and night in difficult circumstances.

Falcarragh 

As a mark of respect to all those affected by yesterday’s tragedy in Creeslough, the Meenderry Réunion Band are holding a vigil tomorrow evening, Sunday, at 7 o’clock out side the Corner Bar Falcarragh. Perhaps other groups, local businesses and individuals would like to join us.

Clg An Clochan Liath (Dungloe)

The Club will hold a vigil this (Sunday) evening at club grounds at 6:30pm to show our support to the people of Cresslough and St Micheal’s GAA Club

Moville

Moville parish church has rosary and prayers at 7.30pm this (Sunday) evening

Lettermacaward 

EI’mucharist Adoration dedicated to all those affected in the Creeslough tragedy in St Bridget’s Church, Lettermacawqrd today (Sunday) from 4-6pm

Tá fáilte roimh gach duine

Termon

Rosary, Adoration and Benediction for the People of Creeslough will take place this Sunday 9th October at 8pm in St Columba’s Church, Termon.

Fanad 

Fanad United will be having a vigil in the Community Ctr, Triagh-a-locha this Sunday evening 4 p.m. Five members of our current squad are from the Creeslough area and our thoughts and prayers go out to them, the families of the victims and the wider Creeslough community at this time.

Kilmacrenan 

A vigil will be held in the Chapel car park at 4 pm.

Malin town

As a mark of respect and to show our support to the community of Creeslough, we will gather as a community in Malin Village on the Green this evening at 7.30pm to remember all those who lost their lives and their families and friends bereaved and broken by this tragedy. Please bring a candle. All welcome.

Clonmany 

There will be a Candlelight vigil this Sunday evening in the square, Clonmany at 7,00pm. We are asking our parish to join together to show our support for Creeslough. Please bring a candle

Gortahork 

Beidh bigil ar siúl i dTeach a’Phobail Chríost Rí i nGort a’Choirce amárach, Dé Domhnaigh 9 Deireadh Fómhair @ 5i.n. le guí ar son na mairbh agus gach duine buailte mar gheall ar an tragóid uafásach a tharla ar an Chraoslach inné.

A vigil will be held in Christ the King Church, Gortahork tomorrow, Sunday 9th of October @ 5pm to pray for all those affected by the terrible tragedy that happened in Creeslough yesterday.

Newtowncunningham 

A vigil will take place this Sunday evening at 7pm in the Columbian Hall car park.

Clg Beart

A vigil will be held at the Halfway House Tooban at 8pm.
