David and Stephen Flynn, known as the Happy Pear, have issued an apology following a post linking taking antibiotics with suffering from anxiety or depression.
After The Happy Pear published the comment in a social media reel, following their podcast on the issue, they faced criticism from medical experts.
The brothers say they will endeavour to ensure it does not happen again.
A spokesperson says it was never the intention to mislead or to misinform.
A statement issued to The Independent said:
“The Happy Pear acknowledges that some of the content in a recent reel post across some of our social media platforms in relation to a podcast with US-based Dr Zac Bush MD, has caused offence, with some statements not given the appropriate qualification or context."
“It was never the intention to mislead or to misinform and we sincerely apologise for any offence caused."
