A man has been left with serious facial injuries after he was attacked with a hammer in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
The brutal assault occurred at approximately 3am on Sunday morning, April 14 on the Ramelton Road, Letterkenny, reports the Irish Mirror.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror a Garda spokeswoman said: "A man was assaulted by two males and received injuries to his nose and mouth.
"He was treated at scene by ambulance medics. Two males (18) and (21) were arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 for assault and brought to Letterkenny Garda Station."
Reports also state that Gardai believe the attack may have been pre planned.
