A two-year-old girl is in a critical condition after she was found with serious injuries at a house in Cork City.
Emergency services were called to a house at Boreenmanna Road at around half five this morning.
The toddler is being treated for her injuries at Cork University Hospital, and Gardaí have launched an investigation.
The house remains sealed off and a technical exam is due to take place.
A Garda spokesman said: "Officers are continuing to investigate this matter and there is no further information at this time."
