The term is known as 'quiet quitting'
'Gen Z bashing' is getting out of control, according to a human resources firm.
Younger people in the workplace are being accused of a practice known as 'quiet quitting'.
'Quiet quitting' is where employees work as little as possible, it is said to be more prominent among younger people.
The phenomenon has become widely talked and promoted by employees on the popular app TikTok.
But Damien McCarthy, CEO of HR Buddy, says Gen Z aren't the only ones to blame.
'I think we have to be very careful about how we're speaking and commentating on our young people', he said.
'In particular when it comes to Gen Z entering the workplace, this is the most talented, well-rounded, educated, and technologically savvy group of young people who have ever entered our workplace.'
