Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances around a fatal explosion in Donegal which killed 10 people.

This weekend marks one year since the tragedy at Creeslough.

Gardaí have described the investigation as extensive and say they have followed over 1,350 lines of enquiry and have taken over 900 statements.

A family liason officer continues to support the bereaved families from the incident.

Just after 3pm on October 7th 2022 an explosion happened at a filling station in Creeslough.

The 10 fatalities included four men, three women, two teenagers (one male and one female) and one younger female child - the victims aged between 5 and 59.

A huge outpouring of national grief followed then-Taoiseach Micheal Martin describing it as the "darkest of days for Donegal and the entire country."
