Investigations into the cause of a fatal workplace accident in County Donegal are continuing today.
Gardaí are still trying to piece together what led to the explosion.
43 year old Stephen Montgomery was killed in an explosion in the Bunbeg area in the west of the county yesterday afternoon.
The father of one is understood to have been clearing rock with a machine at a remote house.
But Stephen Maguire, Editor of the Donegal Daily, says it's still not known what exactly led to the explosion:
"From the scene you can see that there are at least two diggers were working away on the site of an already built bungalow-type house in rural Donegal. It looks like there was some sort of work going on and there was also a digger working away at the back of the house. Exactly where the exposion took place we're not exactly sure."
