Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Galway City.
The man - who is in his early 20s - was attacked by a group of men in the Raven's Terrace area in the early hours of Friday morning.
He was taken to University Hospital Galway where he's in a serious but stable condition.
Anyone who may have seen the incident is being asked to contact Gardaí.
