(SourceLA Labour TD has described the prosecution of a Garda involved in a crash on the N7 as ‘a joke’.
The DPP has directed a Garda should face charges after three men were killed in a crash in Dublin two years ago, as they were being pursued by Gardaí.
The men were driving on the wrong side of the dual carriage way when their car collided with a truck.
Alan Kelly raised in the issue in the Dail yesterday and says the workings of GSOC need to be examined:
"I had to raise this. I felt morally obliged, I rarely ever enter in on the order of business, I'd say its' the first time I've done it in a long long long time."
"But I felt obliged to do it because I know an Garda Siochana are outraged about this and I know the public are outraged and want to see the issue and generally the whole GSOC issue dealt with."
