Irish people travelling in France are being urged to exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings.
The advice from the Department of Foreign Affairs comes after continued rioting across France, sparked by the shooting dead of a teenager by police in Paris.
The interior ministry says 45,000 police officers and thousands of firefighters have been mobilised to enforce order.
It comes as a firefighter's died in Paris while dealing with burning cars - on a sixth night of violence in France.
Interior minister Gerald Darmanin says the 24-year-old was killed in in an underground car park in Saint-Denis.
There were 157 arrests overnight - with a reduction in rioting and looting compared to previous days.
The grandmother of the teenager whose death sparked riots across France says protesters are using it as an "excuse" for violence and looting.
Meanwhile, the mayor of L'Hay-les-Roses in Paris, has condemned the people who ram-raided his home with a burning car.
