The terms of reference of an external examination into RTÉ have been agreed by Cabinet.
The Media Minister says it'll see two expert advisory committees set up, undertaking separate and parallel reviews.
The first will oversee Governance and Culture at RTE, and the second, Contractor Fees and HR matters.
A forensic accountant will also be appointed to examine RTÉ's accounts - including the barter account used to pay Ryan Tubridy.
Media Minister Catherine Martin hopes to see that process begin quickly:
"This week I'll initiate the procurement process for that expert to look at the accounts. I'm going to ask that forensic accountant to look firstly at the barter accounts and also if there are any other accounts that may be off balance. I think that's going to be a quicker procurement process than the actual review."
